Vodafone-Idea, the country's largest telecom company, has once again delivered a disappointing performance. The company lost 4.95 million users in August. According to data released by TRAI, Reliance Jio has added 8.44 million new users, while the number of users of Airtel and Vodafone-Idea has come down. Vodafone-Idea has lost about 4.95 million users, or about 5 million users, reiterating its disappointing performance. At the same time, the third largest telecom company Bharti Airtel has lost 0.5 million users.
According to the latest TRAI report, Reliance Jio currently has a total of 348.2 million wireless users, while Vodafone-Idea still remains the largest telecom company in the country with 372 million users. At the same time, Bharti Airtel has a total of 327.9 million wireless (mobile) users. Public sector companies BSNL and MTNL have also lost 0.21 million and 6,701 users respectively. Overall the number of mobile users in the country has increased by 2.68 million. Now the total number of mobile users in the country has increased to 1.17 billion.
