Its been a decade to see the film Kaminey hitting the screens. It has brought Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj together for the first film. The film managed to give him a different avatar breaking his chocolate hero look to an end. The film then gave an altogether different side of the actor and also gave acclaim for the incredible performance in the movie. The film Kaminey can be called as a landmark movie in the career of Shahid as it gave him a different direction in the B Town opening up new avenues for the actor.

The fans just loved him in his negative role similarly we have seen getting applauded in his recently released film Kabir Singh. Now, as per the recent buzz, we hear that the filmmaker is now coming up with a new film Shahid Kapoor based on the novel of Salman Rushdie called Midnight’s Children for a streaming media. However, now we hear that he has kept this venture on the back seat and now has other plans to make a sequel of Kaminey.

As per sources close to the filmmaker, he has a script and he is looking ahead to go embark upon with a good story and a film. He has even applied for the title and per the sources close to him it is none other than Maha Kaminey. He has applied for the title with the Indian Motion Pictures Producers’ Association. Shahid Kapoor has played the role of Guddu and Charlie and is all set to reprise the role of Vishal in it. He is now taking up the new venture which is a remake of a South Indian film – Jersey.
