PEARL HARBOR naval base is reportedly on lockdown as three people were shot by a gunman, according to local reports

Pearl Harbor naval base has been put on lockdown after reports emerged of a gunman at large on the premises. Three people have since been confirmed as having been shot by the gunman.

Two of the three victims are said to be in critical condition, while a third is stable.

Reports of the shooting came in around 2:30pm local time.

Although, multiple reports suggest the shooter has been contained.

This, however, has not yet been confirmed by US authorities.

The Mirror Online reported that one witness at the scene said: “I kind of recognise that as gunshots and I looked out the window and saw three people on the ground."

The Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam confirmed there had been a shooting at the shipyard.
