CM Ashok Gehlot has presented the Rajasthan Budget 2020-21 in the Legislative Assembly. Many big announcements have been made about the youth, farmers, poor, medical and education of the state. Apart from this, the Gehlot government has given big relief to the farmers in the budget. To bring transparency in crop loans, a new system has been introduced in crop loans to be distributed through the Village Service Cooperative Society. The Gehlot government has so far given interest-free loans of more than Rs 8700 crore.
It has been announced to recruit 53 thousand 151 posts from Gehlot's Budget Box. To improve the environment of government schools, Gehlot has announced to do parent meeting on the lines of private schools. A provision of Rs 39 thousand 524 crore has been made for education. 66 Kasturba Gandhi Residential Schools have been announced and gifted 15 new medical colleges to the state. It has been targeted to make all medical colleges within 4 years. CM Ashok Gehlot said during the budget speech that the first priority of the government is that people can get the right treatment on time.
