vivo U10 is the budget-centric offering for the generation that doesn’t stop

vivo has recently announced a budget-oriented smartphone in the market that impresses in all the departments. At a starting price of Rs 8,990, the vivo U10 not only offers a Qualcomm processor and triple rear cameras, but is also equipped with a fast charging-capable battery. This handset is placed in the hyper-competitive segment, yet manages to offer features that aren’t easily available in its price segment. If you’re a person that desires an all-round smartphone that doesn’t put a dent in your bank account, the latest vivo U10 is definitely the device to opt for. Here’s why…

Packs a huge battery with fast charging support

The vivo U10 packs a massive 5,000mAh battery. This enables you to easily extract two days of battery life from the device if you use it moderately. And if you’re a heavy user, the battery is enough to make your phone last an entire day. As per the brand, the phone offers a whopping 12 hours of YouTube playback and 7 hours of PUBG gameplay. Those are magnificent numbers for a handset from this price range to have.

And even when it’s drained completely, the battery won’t take a lot of time in getting charged. Thanks to the 18W fast charging support, the U10 can be up and ready in just a 10-minute charge to run for four and a half hours straight.

Powerful performance

vivo’s U10 has adopted the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. This 11nm chipset features a 2GHz octa-core processor, along with an Adreno 610 GPU. No matter if it’s heavy gaming or multitasking, the device shouldn’t falter in any scenario.

There’s 3GB or 4GB of RAM on offer, depending on the model you choose. The 3GB RAM variant ships with 32GB or 64GB storage, while the higher-end version comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of memory onboard. And yes, the phone does ship with a microSD card slot, which supports storage expansion of up to 256GB.

Powerful triple rear cameras

Another highlight of the vivo U10 is the triple rear camera array. The main camera is a 13MP unit, which ensures impressive photographs. The secondary 8MP shooter captures ultra wide-angle shots. Lastly, there’s a 2MP depth sensor on this phone as well, for giving you bokeh effects in your portrait shots. The front camera is available in the form of an 8MP sensor that’s used not only for capturing stunning selfies, but also for unlocking the device using facial scanning.

An immersive Halo FullView™ display

A 6.35-inch display makes its way onto the U10 smartphone. vivo prefers to call it the Halo FullView™ display, as it carries a halo-like notch at the top, and delivers a full-screen experience. In fact, the phone boasts a screen-to-body ratio of 89 percent, which is quite impressive for its price. This IPS panel bears a resolution of 720 x 1,544 pixels that offers an immersive experience whether you’re watching videos on YouTube or playing intense games.

Ultra Game Mode

vivo has also blessed its latest with what it calls the Ultra Game Mode. This powerful feature has been designed to deliver the ultimate gaming experience. Among its various features is the Competition Mode, which allocates system resources that prioritise your game’s performance, and the Multi-Turbo mode, which reduces frame rate drops to smoothen the visuals. Another remarkable gaming-focused feature of the vivo U10 is the fact that it offers 4D vibrations during your gaming sessions to immerse you further within them.

That’s not all, the U10 has a ton of other features that will attract you, including the intuitive FunTouch OS running atop Android 9.0 Pie. Sure enough, the phone has disrupted the sub-Rs 12k smartphone category with its power-packed features. Add to that its starting price tag of Rs 8,990, and the vivo U10 becomes a formidable device.
