The building is not far from Japan's Nara city. It is a temple named Horuji . The building is located in the heart of the city. It was built in 600 CE and was rebuilt after a fire in 700 AD. It is a 5 storey building.

There are 26 such buildings here which were built in the year 800 AD , but the rest of the building is not so famous. This building has World Heritage status and is the first building in Japan to receive World Heritage status.

The quality of this building is that this building made of wood still stands 1300 years later as it was constructed. This building was built by Buddhist people from China to promote Buddhism in Japan as well. This building was built for Prince Shotuku who is considered the father of propagating and spreading Buddhism in Japan.
