Bollywood films are used to shooting with Railway Engines. Iconic movies like Sholay, Gadar, Chennai Express and DDLJ have shown the usage of trains.
This is the amount of money charged by Indian Railways
For the usage of 1 engine and 4 bogie, Railway department charges 50 lakhs for a single day. If the shooting has to be done in Railway premises then 1 lakh per day is charged for category A location.
This amount increases by 15% on holidays due to heavy rush.
For a distance of 200 Km, Railways charge 4,26,600 rupees from Bollywood people. If the train has to be stopped then additional charge of 900 rupees per hour has to be paid.
