The Supermoon will peak on the night of Tuesday, February 19, when the Moon is at its closest to Earth. On the night of the Supermoon, the lunar orb will pass through the astrological sign of Virgo. Virgo is the sixth star sign of the zodiac, spanning the 150 to 180-degree position on the horoscope charts. In astrology, Virgo is said to be a loyal, practical and very hardworking star sign.
People born under the strong influence of Virgo are believed to be obsessed with healthy food, love animals, enjoy books and stray away from rude people.
All of these attributes are heightened during a Full Moon and the Supermoon should make this doubly powerful.
According to astrologer Jamie Partridge, of AstrologyKing.com, the upcoming Supermoon promises to be “exciting, adventurous and sexy”.
Astrologers often consider Full Moons to heighten the opposing forces in your life, because a Full Moon is in direct opposition to the Sun.
This means inner conflict and mixed feelings might come to the forefront, leading to unwanted tension in your life.
But the Full Moon is also the time to complete any goals you may have set for yourself during the last lunar event – the February 4 New Moon.
Mr Partridge said the Supermoon will appear in Virgo and in conjunction with the fixed star Regulus, which is a bright star in the constellation Leo.
Regulus appears in the heart of Leo the Lion and will give the Supermoon confidence and independence.
The astrologer said: “So this is a strong, sexy and daring Full Moon.
“The Moon also makes the bountiful trine aspect to a Mars-Uranus conjunction.
“This exciting and revolutionary alignment compliments the bold nature of Regulus.”
However, there is risk envy and “brash self-confidence” will creep into your horoscope this week as a result of Regulus’s ambitions.
You may also feel a strong urge to break free of all rules and limitations thanks to the influence of Mars and Uranus in conjunction.
Mr Partridge said: “ However, the harmonious aspects to the Sun and Moon lower the risk of reckless behaviour and upsetting events.
“This means you can let your hair down and take a few risks.
“Let this full moon spice up your life with change, excitement and adventure.”
