After two years, Hrithik Roshan was all set to hit the big screen with the release of his next film Super 30. But the film ran into trouble last year when its director, Vikas Bahl, was accused of sexual misconduct.
It was reported that after the accusation, Bahl was no longer associated with the film. With no director, Super 30, which was supposed to release on January 29, 2019, got delayed.
Since the film's post-production is suffering, the makers have approached Anurag Kashyap to take over. Talking to a web portal Anurah confirmed the news, he said, "At the moment I am getting Womaniya (another production) started, but yes, I will be overseeing the post-production of Super 30."
The director, however, said that he won't take any credit for the work he will be doing in Super 30. Talking about working in the film, Anurag said, "There are at least 30 new people debuting with this film. It’s just out of responsibility for the money put in production."
Super 30 is based on the life of Anand Kumar, a Patna-based scholar, who trains 30 economically-backward students for IIT-JEE entrance exams every year.
The film is being produced by Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. It also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh and Nandish Sandhu.
