New Delhi, News24 Bureau, September 2: Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Saaho', which released on August 30, is performing quite well at the box office. 'Saaho' opened with a collection of Rs 24 crore.
According to the reports of Box office India.com, 'Saaho' broke many records on this Sunday. It has crossed the first Sunday collection of 'Kabir Singh', 'Mission Mangal' and 'Bharat'. As per the reports, 'Saaho' collected Rs 29-30 crore on Sunday.
The first Sunday collections of Saaho is Rs 29 to Rs 30 crore while 'Kabir Singh' collected Rs 27.91 crore. Bharat collected Rs 21.25 crore and Mission Mangal Rs 23.50 crore on the first Sunday.
Talking about 'Saaho' review, this time, the Prabhas impact wholly misses the "Baahubali" magic. "Saaho" was always all about Prabhas, director Sujeeth and his crew never for a moment lose focus from that fact. They have tried preparing a foolproof parcel that solely aims to cash in on the tremendous star power Prabhas garnered post the "Baahubali" films. It is a tailor-made script where every scene plays to the macho star's strength, and Prabhas is effective, too, carrying the film on his shoulder with a hulk of a screen presence. If the sole intention of this film was to showcase a very different side of his glamour, "Saaho" does adequately.
"Saaho" is the sort of formula overload that isn't necessarily raising audience curiosity over what is going to happen in the end. It was always about how much can be stuffed into the film's nearly three-hour runtime before it ends. Which is where the film crashes. The big bang it tries setting off simply goes bust as the plot steadily falls all over the place.
The film got a mixed reaction. ''#Saaho 1st Half : Its #Prabhas show all the way.. He dominates the proceedings so far.. Mass interval twist.. Good action sequences so far.. I guess the spectacular ones r reserved for 2nd half.. @ShraddhaKapoor has a good role.. @arunvijayno1 is 👌,'' wrote film critic Ramesh Bala.
