Baahubali 2: The Conclusion struck a chord with the Hindi-speaking audience, and the Hindi-dubbed version alone earned more than Rs 500 crore at the box office in India.

After the phenomenal success of the Baahubali films, it has been two whole years since the audience watched Prabhas on the big screen and needless to say, there is a huge buzz surrounding his next release.

To cash in on Prabhas's popularity, the makers of Saaho decided to release the film in a big way across the country. They roped in Bollywood actress , in order to appeal to the pan-Indian audience.

Buzz is that the makers shelled out Rs 7 crore, more than three times Shraddha's usual fee, to bring her on board. With Saaho being the actress's debut in South films, the anticipation is quite high.

Shraddha will be seen as crime branch officer Amritha Nair, who joins hands with an undercover agent, played by Prabhas, to take down a crime syndicate responsible for a massive Rs 2000-crore robbery. Of course, there is also a romantic track featuring the two.

Not just Shraddha, Saaho features a host of other Bollywood actors, including Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar and Mandira Bedi.

Saaho is touted to be the biggest-ever action-thriller in India, and has raised the bar with its jaw-dropping action sequences. The makers have spared no expense when it came to the action, from roping in renowned Hollywood stunt director Kenny Bates to splurging a whopping Rs 90 crore just on filming the action sequences in Abu Dhabi.

When the trailer of Saaho came out, the high-octane car chases and daredevil bike stunts wowed the audience.

At the trailer launch, Prabhas revealed that the action sequences demanded two years of his time. "Actually, I for this film because I already gave four years for Baahubali," he said.

"But for the action sequences, we need a lot of preparation. For some action scenes, like the Abu Dhabi chase, we were working for almost a year. A lot of preparation and rehearsals are required. I need to support the director and the producers who spent too much," he added.

Prabhas and the makers of Saaho are going the extra mile to draw the Hindi-speaking audience to the theatres. Come August 30, and we will know if their efforts have paid off.
