Its one thing to have your mothers involved in your relationships, however it’s an entirely different thing to have them command it. Bollywood seems to be no exception to interfering and over possessive mothers and the following Bollywood mothers have jeopardized the relationships of their children:
If there was an award for the most commanding mother as far as relationships were concerned, Neetu Singh would win it hands down. Ranbir’s love life has not been very steady, despite being with loveliest women in the industry. She once said in an interview, “ I have never ever bothered about his girlfriends. I used to get angry with a certain girlfriend when he was entering movies, as he would not sleep well. I knew from experience that an actor has to have good sleep to look fresh. But I have never told him who I like and who I don't like. His girls are his life. He has to spend his life with her. She should love him and keep the family together. I remember how many times I have kept upvas and asked mannats from Santoshi Maa for my husband. Being in the film line, she needs to be strong and be there for him. I just want the right girl for my Ranbir and feel that satisfaction that she looks after him.”
It seems that the Kapoor mothers have taken in charge of their kid’s love lives. If you remember, Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor were supposed to get married when the grand announcement of their engagement was made on Amitabh Bachchan’s 60th birthday party. If rumors are to be believed, Karisma’s mother, Babita was not in favor of the marriage as Karisma was a popular actress in the late nineties and Abhishek’s identification was just being Amitabh Bachchan’s son. So, the engagement was cancelled, hearts were broken and people moved on. They say that Babita didn’t approve of their relationship cause having undergone a tough phase in her life, especially in the context of bringing up two daughters after her separation from Randhir Kapoor, Babita knew the value of money, and obviously wanted a stable, and secure future for her daughters.
