OnePlus 7T Pro may arrive with 5G by the end of the year via global release: Report

There has been a number of rumours which has been doing the rounds regarding a new OnePlus flagship phone which may arrive in the markets by the end of this year. Naturally, this has got us excited considering OnePlus already launched two phones in the market instead of following their two phone, two launches in a year routine. The OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro were launched a few months back. Now rumour has it the Chinese premium smartphone maker could be working on a new OnePlus device which could possibly be the OnePlus 7T Pro.

The other news here - in an interview with the Financial Times, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has mentioned about releasing a new 5G OnePlus phone during the fourth quarter of 2019, which is October to December. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is already available, but this new device that Pete Lau talked about will be getting a new global release and will be 5G capable.

This could be a pure assumption, but OnePlus may be looking to launch just a single phone with 5G connectivity this time and not a separate 4G model as well. The new phone could very well be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset.

Additionally, in a tweet posted by Max J, the OnePlus 7T Pro will be launching on October 15. The first leak of the developer case image was also posted by Max J but the timing was pretty early. However, after two more leaks, it does look for real that OnePlus may be bringing the 7T Pro after all. The chipset details are not yet revealed but could be the latest Snapdragon 855 plus. There is also a third Snapdragon chipset doing the rounds and benchmark scores are astounding. It could be called the Snapdragon 865.

Overall, a leak is a leak and is not confirmed yet and this is why we would still ask you to take this information with a grain of salt. The 7T Pro in the images looks similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro with the curved edges, a pop-up camera. Major specs will remain the same, with minor changes possibly, and a chipset upgrade.
