The Almond variant of the OnePlus 7 Pro is essentially OnePlus’ take on a gold colour variant. It goes for a very mild copper colour tone with gold accents adorning the camera ring and the frame. Even the bottom camera gets a golden accent ring. This colour is quite reminiscent of the Copper colour variant on the Apple iPhone 8.
Since gradient colours are in fashion these days, the Almond variant also gets one but it’s comparatively subtle than the Nebula Blue variant. When you look at it from certain angles, you can see striking gold reflections all over the rear. This certainly enhances its presence but is far from blingy.
The frame is bathed in chromium-toned copper colour and is uniform over the entire frame. The OnePlus 7 Pro’s party piece – the pop-up selfie camera module also gets the copper accents. When you look at it from the front, it is undoubtedly striking.
Compared to Nebula Blue and Mirror Grey variants, the Almond variant looks soothing. The subtle copper-gold gradient does make this phone look even more expensive than it actually is. Almond makes the beautiful design of the OnePlus 7 Pro look classy.
While the Almond colour gives the OnePlus 7 Pro a distinct identity, none of the technical bits changes. Therefore, you are still getting the gorgeous 6.65-inch 90Hz AMOLED display, the supremely optimised performance courtesy of Oxygen OS and the flagship grade cameras. You can get it on the variant with 8GB RAM, costing Rs 52,990.
