The National Testing Agency (NTA) has now re-opened the applications for the candidates who applied for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in the January session. As per NTA, interested and eligible applicants can check their form and change their reservation status to be applicable for EWS (economically weaker section) quota at the official website of JEE Main 2019, jeemain.nic.in.

About the correction window:

  • The window was opened on March 11, 2019 and will close on March 15, 2019.

  • Candidates belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quota, as approved by the government recently, can now update their status to be applicable for the benefits along with the required documents.


How to apply for EWS reservation in NTA JEE MAIN 2019:

Step 1: Visit the official website, jeemain.nic.in

Step 2: Log-in using application number

Step 3: Click on 'reservation' section and modify

NTA's previous message for EWS category candidates :

"As per the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II dated January 17, 2019 issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the OM No. 12-4/2019-U1 dated 17.01.2019 as well as the Letters No 35-2/2019-T.S.I dated 21.01.2019, 01.02.2019, 04.02.2019 and 15.02.2019 of MHRD Department of Higher Education regarding implementation of reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) for admission in Central Educational Institutions, it is necessary to identify the candidates belonging to EWS category from amongst the candidates of JEE(Main) January and JEE(Main) April 2019," the statement added.
