Tom Ellis and Lauren German starrer Lucifer is all set renew for its fifth and final season.
Lucifer fans can't keep calm as the supernatural thriller has been renewed for fifth season. Netflix shared the good news on social media. They shared the poster of Lucifer Season 5 where Tom Ellis aka Lucifer is falling into the flames.
They captioned it, "Thanks to the lucifans, #lucifer's story will come to an end the way it should: the fifth and final season is coming to @netflix."
Tom Ellis shared the poster and thanked Lucifer fans. He wrote, "Well it's been one Hell of a journey (pun intended) but thanks to our wonderful fans and the success of season 4 @Netflix has decided to give us a final season so we can finish our story properly."
Tom Ellis also uploaded a video of himself where he is seen screaming in excitement and ends the video by saying, "I'll see you in hell."
Earlier makers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson had said the team will soon know if the series will be going in for another run at Netflix.
Lucifer was earlier aired on Fox TV that ended the show after Season 3. However, the show was brought back from the dead for a fourth season in 2018 by Netflix.
Lucifer stars Tom Ellis in the title role of the devil, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub and becomes a consultant to the LAPD. The series stars Lauren German, DB Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Aimee Garcia, Inbar Lavi and Rachael Harris in pivotal roles.
