The murmurs of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon dating began in 2016, when they started working on Dinesh Vijan's Raabta. On Koffee With Karan, when KJo asked her if she was ever in a relationship with Sushant, the 28-year-old actress outright denied.

She added, "I have said that before also. I have been single."

However, Karan was not ready to let it go so easily. He asked Kriti about her status with Sushant now. To which the Bareilly Ki Barfi! actress replied, "We talk. We've just met at Dino's [Dinesh Vijan] wedding."

Karan added that many people, who come on his show, deny their relationship statuses. Taking a jibe at Kriti, Kartik said, "I don't know why people deny relationships. I mean, they should be open about it."
