We’re not sure if he hopped a fence to get there, but “Bachelor” Colton Underwood appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” along with winner Cassie Randolph, following the show's dramatic finale.
When Kimmel asked the pair to define their relationship, Colton described Cassie as his “future wife,” drawing hollers from the audience. And it seems the late-night host and Neil Lane, the official provider of "Bachelor"/"Bachelorette" engagement bling, wanted the former NFL player to be prepared when the time comes.
Kimmel explained the pair "kind of got cheated a little bit" because their reunion didn't end with an engagement ring, as is "Bachelor" finale custom.
"So, this afternoon, I was like, 'This kind of sucks," he said, picking up a jewelry box. "So we called Neil Lane, and so here, he sent a ring."
For a moment, Colton pretended he was going to pop the question then and there, before letting Cassie know he was joking.
"You know we've talked about it," he told Kimmel. "We've talked about getting the ring."
"If you don't want that one, you can pick out a different one, it doesn't have to be that ring," the late-night host said of the flexible return policy.
In addition to walking away with a very sparkly favor, the couple also dished on their relationship and time on the show.
Of his experience, Colton said, “You think that you have an idea of what’s gonna happen, but nobody’s meant to date 30 people at the same time.”
Kimmel joked that for someone like Charlie Sheen, “it works well.”
The funnyman was also curious about what romantic activities took place in the fantasy suite.
"Heading to that fantasy suite, I wasn't even thinking about that," Colton said, "I was just more ready to fight for our relationship."
He was more forthcoming about other intimate moments on the show: those shower scenes. It turns out while he was being filmed he wore a rolled-up bathing suit.
"Just out of respect for everybody," he reasoned. "It can get a little weird."
And what can't Colton wait to do with the girl he is "so in love" with? The two are ready to do "normal things," Cassie said.
"We want to just like go to the grocery store, go for bike rides, walks on the beach," Colton shared.
And perhaps get down on bended knee in front of Kimmel's audience?
"If you do get engaged, will you come back here and get engaged on the show?" inquired Kimmel.
"On the show?" Cassie asked, before the couple agreed to think about it.
