In the heart of the quiet little hamlet of Pearl Beach sits one of the Central Coast’s most intriguing beach houses.

Two doors down from the popular local cafe across the road from the beach, the instantly recognisable property at 3 Pearl Pde has an unusual timber facade that people are just dying to peek behind.

“This house is a real conversation starter for people in the area — there is so much curiosity and intrigue,” agent Dale Bassett from PRD Ettalong said.

“The pavilion design has this deliberate disconnect that seamlessly splices outside with inside and allows guests complete privacy. It’s like a bespoke hotel resort.”

Owned by one of Australia’s leading IVF specialist’s, Michael Chapman, the home has four private bedrooms with their own ensuites.

The award-winning property, which was featured on the TV series Great Australian Sandcastles, features timber decking wrapping around different zones, with a main entertainment deck surrounded in privacy screens that can be opened up or closed off.

The main upstairs bedroom is completely separate to the rest of the house with balcony and ocean views.

Mr Bassett said people didn’t always ‘get’ the unconventional property, but they often have a moment where it clicks for them and they understand what it is all about.

“This is arguably one of Pearl Beach’s most iconic houses — almost everyone who has holidayed here knows it,” he said.

Weekender income is another lure to the listing, with the house potentially bringing in $1200-$1500 a week in holiday rental revenue.

Pearl Beach is well-known as a holiday haven for corporate types, with Sydney buyers splashing millions on beachfront homes.

Last year two neighbouring properties on Gem Rd sold for over $4.4 million.

No. 3 Pearl Pde will go under the hammer on Saturday, September 21 at 10am with a bidding guide of $3-$3.3 million.
