India off to a good start in first ODI after New Zealand opt to bowl

Hamilton, February 5

India were 251 for 3 in 40 overs in the first ODI against New Zealand here on Wednesday.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl.

Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw made their ODI debuts for India while Kedar Jadhav was preferred over Manish Pandey.

Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi were drafted into the playing eleven for New Zealand.

New Zealand lost the T20 series 5-0 against India.
