Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G smartphones have been officially unveiled in China, as expected. These handsets come with a pill-shaped punch-hole design at the front to accommodate dual selfie snappers and feature a glass finish at the back with a gradient finish. The Huawei Nova 6 5G comes with Balong 5000 5G modem and has NSA and SA 5G dual-mode support. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security and comes with 40W super Fast charging. Both the phones run on Android 10 OS with EMUI custom skin on top. Huawei has also introduced the mid-range Nova 6 SE on the same stage. It rocks a punch-hole display and packs quad-rear cameras.

Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G price

The Huawei Nova 6G 8GB + 128GB is priced at RMB 3,799 (around Rs. 38,600), while the 8GB + 256GB version costs RMB 4,199 (around Rs. 42,600). The standard Nova 6 4G 8GB + 128GB model costs RMB 3,199 (around Rs. 32,500). They come in Black, Blue, Violet and Red colours and is available for order today and would go on sale from December 12th in China.

Huawei Nova 6 5G comes with Balong 5000 5G modem and has NSA and SA 5G dual-mode support.

Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G specifications

The Huawei Nova 6 5G and standard 6 flaunt a 6.57-inch full HD+ display with 2,400 × 1,080 pixels resolution, 2.5D curved glass display and 96 percent NTSC colour gamut. They are powered by the in-house Kirin 990 SoC with ARM Mali-G76MP16 GPU, Big Core + Tiny Core NPUs. The 5G variant gets the Balong 5000 modem. They come equipped with 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB internal storage. The Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G run on Android 10 with EMUI 10 custom skin on top.

In terms of optics, the Huawei Nova 6 series packs a triple camera setup comprising of a 40-megapixel (f/1.8 aperture) primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree field of view, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, OIS, 3x optical zoom. On the front, there is a 32MP standard sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. It comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C audio. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA (5G variant), 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The Huawei Nova 6 standard model packs a 4,100mAh battery, while the 5G variant has a slightly bigger 4,200mAh unit with 40W fast-charging support on both.

Huawei Nova 6 SE

Huawei Nova 6 SE was also introduced on the same stage. It sports a 6.4-inch full HD+ LCD display with a punch-hole to accommodate the 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. It is powered by the Kirin 810 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Nova 6 SE runs on Android 10 with EMUI 10.0.1 custom skin on top. In terms of optics, the handset packs a quad-camera setup at the back with a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a couple of two-megapixel sensors, macro and depth. A 4,200mAh battery with 40W fast-charging support fuels the phone. The Huawei Nova 6SE is priced at RMB 2,199 (around Rs 22,310) and is available for pre-order starting December 18th and would go on sale from December 25th.
