In 1957 V Shantaram's from Do aankhen barah hath film came at the box office. It proved to be an excellent film; In 1967, the film's copy of The Dirty Version came to the box office.

Raj Kapoor's Sangam film was made for the youth. Which featured funny scenes. The film was also seen outside India. Impressed by this film, Michael Bay, the director of Hollywood, landed a copy of this movie at the box office by the name Pearl Harbor.
