Eczema is a disease characterized by skin rashes that have redness, swelling, itching, dryness and flaking. It is most common and and most troublesome of all skin diseases. Eczema in its acute form is indicated by redness and swelling of skin, formation of minute vesicles and severe heat. If the vesicles rupture, a raw, moist surface is formed. From this a colorless discharge is oozes, which form skin crusts when it accumulates. Symptoms of eczema usually worsen at night when the heat of the body is retained by bed-clothes.It is essentially a constitutional disease, resulting from toxic condition of system. Allergy play an important role in causing eczema. Some women get eczema on their hands due to an allergy of soap or detergent used to wash clothes or dishes.
These treatment can help eczema symptoms-
1.Boil 10-12 basil leaves in cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix one tablespoon of honey in it and have it twice a day.
2. Boil one tablespoon of horse gram powder in a cup of water until one fourth of the water remains. Take this decoction 3-4 times a day.
3. Apply coconut oil to the affected area it will help the skin to stay soft.
4. A light mud- pack applied over the sites of the eczema as also helpful. The pack should be applied for an hour at a time and should be repeated 2-3 times a day.
5. In cases of acute eczema, cold compress or cold wet fomentation are beneficial.
