She said someone came looking for two twins for the Harry Potter books to be in the film - are you interested? And I was like yeah!” She further shared that she was a fan of the series and hence decided to try for the part.
On the other hand, Afshan shared that one day her teacher was going through all the activities that were scheduled for the today and on the list, it was mentioned that casting agents were coming to the school to look for two Asian twins for the Harry Potter films.
She said, “I went to an all girls school and so everyone wanted to take part and we said: ‘Oh let’s go!’ So me and a friend had read the book, and we thought we’re never going to get in but we’re not going to lose anything."
Both Shefali and Afshan received calls from the casting agents after the audition. And they both were told that they were selected for the part.
