Prabhas starrer Saaho is doing its magic on box-office. After Ganesh Chaturthi holiday in some parts of the country, the film gained numbers and benefitted in terms of business.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s business on social media. On Friday, the film earned Rs 24.40 cr, Saturday Rs 25.20, Sunday Rs 29.48 cr, and on Monday Rs 14.20 cr, taking the total domestic collection of the film to Rs 93.28 cr.
Meanwhile, UV Creations, production house under which the film has been bankrolled shared the global box-office collections of the film on their official Twitter handle.
Saaho which starrs Shradda Kapoor, Prabhas, and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead grossed more than Rs 294 cr in three days worldwide.
Sujeeth’s directorial has also come under fresh accusations of plagiarism after several fans of the French filmmaker Jerome Salle pointed out similarities between Saaho and the former’s film Largo Winch, which released in 2008.
“I think I have a promising career in India,” Salle wrote, in response to a Twitter user who’d written, “Buddy another day and another free make of your Largo Winch movie in India.” Salle continued, “It seems this second “freemake” of Largo Winch is as bad as the first one. So please Telugu directors, if you steal my work, at least do it properly? And as my ‘Indian career’ tweet was of course ironic, I’m sorry but I’m not gonna be able to help. (sic)”
Saaho had earlier also been accused of plagiarism. The film’s poster was said to be a direct rip-off of Ryan Gosling’s Blade Runner 2049. Another poster bore resemblances to om Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege video game, Hindustan Times reported.
While, more recently many stated that “Baby Wont You Tell Me” song’s CGI was copied from artist Shilo Shiv Suleman’s Burning Man installation.
