Cricket Fraternity Laud England for Entering WC Final After 27 Yrs

England entered the 2019 World Cup final after defeating Australia by 8 wickets in the second semi-final on Thursday, 11 July. The hosts will now play New Zealand in the final at Lord’s on 14 July.

Very fittingly, England skipper Eoin Morgan hit the winning shot as the team’s sight was one of jubilation and happiness. The win was set up by Jason Roy (85) and Jonny Bairstow’s (34) 124-run partnership for the first wicket.

England have reached only their second World Cup final, 27 years later after they first entered the summit clash of the quadrennial tournament in 1992. They had then however lost the final to an Imran Khan-led Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Twitter was elated with the fact that the World Cup would see a new winner. This is what they had to say about the same.
