You’d guess Chris Hemsworth has to spend half the day in the gym to build his Thor body — but you’d be wrong
Gawk at Chris Hemsworth’s body in the Thor movies and you’d probably guess he has to spend half the day in the gym to build a rig like that — but you’d be wrong.
Hemsworth’s personal trainer Luke Zocchi revealed that the Aussie actor never spends more than an hour a day in the gym, which sounds like an achievable amount of time. If you’re watching for the catch, it’s that he trains six days a week.
While Zocchi crafted Hemworth’s Thor body through old-school weight-lifting, the actor’s training regimen varies depending on what role he’s training for, and might switch between “classic bodybuilding” and fast-paced bodyweight moves to get “real skinny”.
If you’re looking to trade your dadbod for a Thorbod, the good news is that it won’t take as long as you think. Zocchi estimates you can transform your body in as little as 12 weeks “if you knuckle down and do the right things”.
“It’s all about nutrition, training and consistency,” he told hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson.
