Awareness programme on entrepreneurship for grade-XI was organized by STINER-TFC, Nagaland Centre, NU, SASRD on October 19 at SFS Higher Secondary School and Government Higher Secondary School, Medziphema.
A press release from the centre stated that Anini Nyenga, project manager, YouthNet was the resource person.
The topics covered in the session included, the real definition of an entrepreneur and the components of entrepreneurship.
She also stressed on personal characteristics, interpersonal skills, critical and creative skills and practical skills.
Further, she emphasized on a chart which showed the life years invested in different stages and stated that one should spend more time in discovering and developing one’s skills to achieve success.
She challenged the students to keep their minds active, to start thinking and come up with ideas and to think beyond government jobs because the future belongs to the entrepreneurs.
An inspirational video of an ordinary person who started from trash to becoming a successful entrepreneur was also screened.
At SFS Higher Secondary School, Medziphema, the programme was chaired by Dr. Sentirenla Changkiri, project assistant, STINER who also gave an introduction of the programme and the centre STINER.
Binoy, teacher said the invocation and welcome address was delivered by Fr. George, principal of the school.
At Government Higher Secondary School, Medziphema, the programme was chaired by Dr. Sentirenla Changkiri, project assistant, STINER. Kezhalhouviu-Ü, graduate teacher pronounced the invocation and welcome address.
151 students participated in the programme conducted at SFS Higher Secondary School, Medziphema, while 73 students participated at Government Higher Secondary School, Medziphema.
