After being trolled for winning the best debut (female) award at the 65th Filmfare Awards for her performance in the film Student of the Year 2, Ananya Panday is now under the scanner for the outfit that she wore to the awards night.
Ananya attended the awards show in a yellow and black gown from the designer Dylan Parienty. The ensemble featured a risqué bralette-style strapless bodice and a tiered tulle skirt.
However, her outfit was a copied version of Deepika Padukone's outfit that she recently wore for Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. The Padmaavat actress's ensemble was a Giambattista Valli creation and came with a strapless bodice and a poofy tulle skirt in pink colour.
Apart from a few details, Ananya's outfit is mostly similar to Deepika's Giambattista gown. An Instagram page known to call out fashion plagiarism highlighted the same in its latest post.
Taking a jibe at the designer Dylan Parienty, the page posted a collage of photos of Deepika and Ananya dressed in similar outfits and wrote, "Copy or Inspiration? Vote!"
Netizens were quick to express their opinion in the comments section. Most of them wrote that Ananya's dress was a legit copy of Deepika's gown. Some people even poked fun at Ananya's infamous statement about struggle.
