Alleged Xiaomi Mi 10 live image shows off punch-hole display, quad camera setup, and more

“Xiaomi Mi 10 will be a flagship smartphone touting features like Snapdragon 865 SoC and 108MP camera”

Xiaomi Mi 10 is expected to be one of the most important flagship phones to come from the company as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. The Mi 10 is widely expected to launch in February at MWC 2020. Ahead of its launch, we have with us some alleged live images of the Mi 10. While it is difficult to get a concrete confirmation on the factual accuracy of the image, it does align with all the other images and renders seen of the Mi 10 so far.

Going by the hands-on images of the Mi 10, the front of the smartphone appears to flaunt very slim bezels along with a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner and curves edges. The interface seen in the live image also states ‘MIUI 11.0.2’ as the firmware version, showing that it is running the very latest version of Xiaomi’s custom interface.

Things are not all that uniform at the rear, though — while the overall proportions are intact, there is an odd light reflection on the shiny silver gradient paint job of the rear panel, which looks more like it has been artificially fabricated, than natural. Even the camera module, which is expected to sport a quad camera unit, looks offset inward, and not much details can be made out of it. The Xiaomi branding on the bottom also looks quite unnaturally placed. All of this leads us to believe that the Mi 10 live images are likely fake and should be taken with a fistful of salt.

If nothing, the Mi 10 images do give us an idea of what the actual phone might look like. The Mi 10 is expected to be one of the first flagships to ship with the latest Snapdragon 865 flagship SoC. Other mostly confirmed features and specifications of the Mi 10 include a quad camera setup at the rear, certain variants with 5G connectivity, and a tall aspect ratio display. While the live image does confirm most of these factors, it will be interesting to see how accurate this image really is, when Xiaomi does finally launch the Mi 10 next month.
