Janhvi Kapoor is just one-film-old, but the stunner has already garnered a massive fan-following. Well, she also has an interesting line-up of Bollywood films in her kitty; however, the 22-year-old has also often expressed her wish of working in South. In fact, there are rumours of Janhvi Kapoor coming onboard for Vijay Deverakonda’s Fighter. While there hasn’t been any official confirmation on that, Janhvi Kapoor rather spilt the beans on her another South connection with actress Keerthy Suresh and it’s all things special.
In a recent conversation with film critic Rajeev Masand, the Dhadak actress narrated an incident about Keerthy, whom she admires a lot. Janhvi said that after watching Keerthy’s performance in Mahanati, she couldn’t hold her tears and ended up calling Keerthy. “I'm a fan of Keerthy. I don't know how many times I've seen Mahanati. I think I called her up crying, I don't know what I did but it's a genuine love for her,” said Janhvi Kapoor. Well, we aren’t surprised considering Keerthy had got a lot of critical acclamation for her performance in Mahanati, which also starred Dulquer Salmaan, Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda. On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in Takht, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and RoohiAfzana and Mr Lele. As for Fighter, there are rumours of Janhvi charging a whopping amount of Rs 3.5 crore for her role. A source close to the film’s production told to Deccan Chronicle, “Even actresses such as Alia Bhatt and Ananya Pandey were approached for the part, but things did not materialise. However, Karan Johar was instrumental in getting Janhvi Kapoor on board. The actress is still working her date diary, and in all probability, she might commence shooting in February.”
