Maruti Suzuki's latest hatchback, the all-new Wagon R, will be launched in India on January 23.

Interestingly, just weeks ahead of the unveiling, the key specifications and features of the car have been leaked online.

According to the leaked documents, the 2019 Wagon R will be offered in three variants with two petrol engine options.

Exteriors

The all-new Wagon R is marginally longer and wider than the outgoing model.

In terms of design, the hatchback retains its boxy stance but with a floating roof design, updated frontal look and vertically-positioned tail-lights with LED band.

Moreover, the leak suggests that the 2019 Wagon R will be offered in six color options including White, Silver, Grey, Brown, Orange, and Blue.


Inside the cabin

Interiors

With a slightly longer wheelbase, the upcoming Wagon R will offer a roomier cabin than its predecessors along with a bunch of design update and tech features.

The car will sport a new dashboard with dual tone interiors, a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and a new instrument console.

Notably, the car may also come with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Engine & power

The 2019 Wagon R will come with two engine options - 1.0-liter K10B three-cylinder engine and 1.2-liter K12B four-cylinder motor.

The 1.0-liter variant can produce 67bhp of power and peak torque of 90Nm whereas the larger engine can generate 82bhp of power and maximum torque of 113Nm.

Notably, both engines will come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 5-speed automatic unit.


2019 Wagon R: Pricing and availability

Maruti Suzuki will launch the all-new Wagon R in India on January 23 at an expected starting price of around Rs. 4.20 lakh. Further, it is evident that the hatchback will be offered in three variants - base-end LXI, mid-range VXI, and top-end ZXI.
