1 million Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro units sold in India in a month, claims Xiaomi

Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has achieved yet another feat by selling over 1 million units of its newly launched Redmi Note 8 series in India. The company claims to have created the milestone by selling the series in a span of a month. The Redmi Note 8 lineup appears to be following the footsteps of its predecessor, Redmi Note 7 series as both Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro had also witnessed a huge demand just the way Redmi Note 8 lineup has started to receive.

Redmi India took to Twitter to share the achievement where it said, "Mi fans! We're thrilled to announce that #RedmiNote8 series has sold 1+ MILLION units in 1 MONTH!"

Both the Note 8 series phones have been going on a limited period sales round since their launch in October. The company has managed to sell over 10 lakh units of the series in a rather short period of time.

Redmi Note 8 is sold at Rs 9,999 for the entry-level 4GB+64GB storage variant and Rs 12,999 for higher 6GB+128GB version whereas the Redmi Note 8 Pro retails at Rs 14,999 for basic 6GB+64GB and Rs 15,999 for 8GB+128GB. The standard Note 8 is a much affordable offering than the Pro variant.

The Redmi Note 8 comes equipped with a 48-megapixel quad rear camera module and the Note 8 Pro gets a 64-megapixel quad rear camera array. The former one comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor while the latter comes backed by Helio G90T processor.
